The Feldenkrais Method is an innovative approach for improving both physical and mental functioning through the exploration of body movement patterns and the use of attention. Its effectiveness lies in its ability to access the nervous system's innate processes of learning. Recognized for its remarkable ability to improve posture, flexibility, and coordination, the Feldenkrais Method can help those with restricted movement, chronic tension and pain, developmental, psychological and neurological problems, performing artists, athletes, and anyone wishing to live and move more comfortably.

It is taught by Guild Certified Feldenkrais Practitioners who have completed 800-1000 hours of training over a 3 1/2 - 4 year period in a program approved and regulated by the Feldenkrais Guild®.

more about the Feldenkrais Method

Robert Cowie is a Guild Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner. He was first introduced to the Feldenkrais Method by a piano student who is a practitioner. His primary teacher and mentor is David Bersin, one of the world's foremost Feldenkrais practitioners and trainers and one of the first Americans to be trained by Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais.

In addition to his work as a Feldenkrais Practitioner. Robert performs regularly in NYC as jazz pianist and has taught piano to students of all ages for over 9 years. He has a B.A. in Music from Cornell University.
